Opened by HRH the Princess Royal in 2007 this award-winning elective care centre was designed to complement new ways of working which deliver best practice in patient care. Its treatment and diagnostic facilities are amongst the most advanced available in the UK and the design facilitates the delivery of leading edge NHS care.
Procured via PFI the centre has seven operating theatres, three endoscopy suites, twenty three private rooms for day patients and twenty four ensuite beds for patients requiring 23 hour stays. The centre’s atrium space organises the diverse range of activities and the simple use of supergraphics both organises and visually enhances the visitor experience.
