Doncaster Special Educational Needs Schools

We have delivered four Special Educational Needs Schools for Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council, as part of their partnering team. The new facilities serve MLD, SLD, and PMLD needs and range from 80 to 110 places for pupils from 3 to 19 years old.

The client required a flagship project incorporating best practice in sustainable and renewable energy. The buildings have been orientated to maximise the benefits from passive solar design, natural day-lighting and natural ventilation and achieved BREEAM Very Good.

All four Schools have taken occupation between September 2008 and January 2009, and have been constructed on existing operational school sites.
